Aston Martin DBX: the first samples

The new british manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda St Athan, in Wales, has started to churn out the first specimens of the pre-production of the new SUV Aston Martin DBX will be presented at the end of 2019.

The opening of St Athan has so far created 200 jobs and is expected to create 550. St Athan will be the only factory of production for the Aston Martin DBX, the first SUV of the brand that was created for this rapidly growing segment.

The test of the DBX, launched in the welsh countryside last year, continues apace, with testing ranging from the Arctic Circle to the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The president of the Aston Martin Lagonda and the group’s managing director, Andy Palmer, said: “This is an exciting time for Aston Martin Lagonda. Our second production plant now manufactures cars, and is ready to reach the maximum capacity in the first half of 2020”.
