Two giants of German make common front for the development of new systems autonomous guide: BMW and Daimler have signed an agreement for the sharing of know-how and technologies aimed at the realization of systems of autonomous guide of Level 4.
These systems fully automate the driving on the highway and parking maneuvers. For this purpose, the technical team of BMW and Daimler will work together with the aim to prepare these technologies by 2024.
Daimler is launching in the Silicon Valley, the pilot project started with Bosch for the development of guidance systems “driverless” in the urban environment. BMW has developed a special “Autonomous Driving Campus” in Unterschleissheim, not far from Munich, where he worked at the automation Level 3, which will debut in 2021, with the production version of the BMW iNEXT.
