Debut on the occasion of the race weekend of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring for the Mini John Cooper Works GP: built in 3,000 copies, the sport arrives on the market in 2020. The one shown at the Nordschleife is a prototype very close to series production.
The Mini John Cooper Works GP is equipped with an engine four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter capable of delivering up to 300 HP engine: this engine makes the John Cooper Works GP the Mini more powerful than ever.
The Mini John Cooper Works GP boasts suspension dedicated and an aerodynamic kit especially developed; the engineers at Mini have also worked on reducing weight of the car. The presence of a front bumper unpublished, and a rear wing provide more downforce.
On the occasion of the shakedown of the Mini John Cooper Works GP at the Nordschleife, the prototype has been lowered by more than half a minute with a time of a variant of the previous, dropping below eight minutes. This time however, it was not official, since the development of the GP is still in progress.
