BMW X5 xDrive45e: the SUV plug-in hybrid from 394 HP

As we had been anticipated at the Geneva motor show 2019, BMW is preparing the army of models, plug-in hybrids, which will debut on the market in the coming months. Between the tips of diamond of the range there is the new X5 xDrive45e, which will be available to start from these days. Scopriamola a little more closely, first to admire it even at the Frankfurt motor show in 2019.

Power and less consumption

As you can see from the images, the overall aesthetic does not change compared to the standard version. The big updates are not seen, because it is a hybrid version plug-in and the innovations are under the hood and under the floor central. At the heart of the new BMW X5 xDrive45e is the classic 6-cylinder in-line of the House of Monaco 3.0-liter with technology TwinTurbo. The internal combustion engine is capable of delivering a power output of 286 HP, but thanks to the support of the electric 83 kW, it comes well-394 HP and 600 Nm of torque in total. In addition, the battery 24 kWh allows you to travel in mode, 100% green for about 67/87 km, cycle WLTP (86/97, NEDC cycle). With regard to the performance, the shot 0-100 km/h has been lowered to 1.2 seconds (for a total of 5.6 seconds) and top speed is 235 km/h.

Still we do not have indications about the prices for the Italian market, but we are almost certain that the Frankfurt motor show in 2019 will help us unravel the mystery.
