Take the A6 Torino-Savona, reopen the road closed for checks

Reopened on the southbound carriageway, two-way travel the stretch of the A6 motorway between the Altar and the junction with the A10 closed yesterday for a check up. The circulation on this part of the Turin-Savona was stopped around 16 yesterday because of the alarm signals launched by the sensors to the monitoring of the landslide.

It is the putting into practice of precautionary measures arranged by the Prefecture: in the case in which the constant monitoring of the situation by the Civil Protection indicate the overcoming of safety thresholds, it must be prepared immediately closing the affected section.

A little over a week ago a portion of 30 meters of the viaduct on the A6 had collapsed, along with a portion of the mountain, at the height of the village of the Madonna del Monte, between the junction with the A10 motorway and the Altar in the direction of Turin. To concern yesterday were the heavy rain that had affected the area.
