Bridge Morandi, raised the first beam

In the evening of Wednesday, has been raised the first beam of the new Bridge Morandi: party for the launch of the deck of the new Viaduct Polcevera , between the batteries 8 and 9. This is the first of the three beams of a length of 100 metres to be brought to the height of 40 metres; the remaining sixteen beams extend, instead, for 50 metres.

This transaction was completed with a delay of two days compared to the roadmap set for itself: this is because, as a result of surveying, the beam span was longer than a few centimeters, and has thus necessitated the intervention of profiling to achieve the correct size.

With the conclusion of the lifting operation of the deck, the visible portion of the future Bridge Morandi now extends for about 500 metres. The new Viaduct Polcevera is realized by the consortium PerGenova, established by Fincantieri in Infrastructure and Salini Impregilo specially for the machining of the work.
