In an age where Suvs dominate the market, it is logical to expect a greater prevalence of automatic transmission, more suitable to vehicle wheels, and on a larger and larger fleet. Of the rest, not everyone loves the sporty driving “old style” and, in many cases, motorists have to deal more with the urban traffic – where the weight of a clutch, maybe “granite” can become annoying – what with the curves and bends. Yet, there are cars (and customers) that still resist the temptation of the automatic transmission, and this is not just the cheap models, on the contrary: the free option of the manual gearbox and seven-speed offered on the Porsche 911 (992) is the most recent example, not to mention theAston Martin Vantage AMR. You can find these two cars in our gallery of images, along with other sports for those who do not want to do without a clutch pedal.
