The Ferrari has chosen a hybrid system, a plug-in for the new top of the range, the SF90 Road. And the results are extraordinary: with its thousand horses, Red is the series most powerful and fastest ever. But that is amazing, aside from the obvious performance, is the adaptability to use all of the days. Our director has tried it exclusively on the roads of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and on the Fiorano track: the first complete contact with the hypercar (or rather the “gigacar”) is on Quattroruote of July, but here is a preview video.
Four engines for a 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The powertrain consists of a V8 4.0 biturbo engine from 780 HP and three electric motors, two of which have the task to operate the front wheels, while the third is integrated in the gearbox. Total electrical units develop 220 HP and, thanks to a battery from 7.9 kWh, allow you to travel up to 25 km in mode eDrive before having to call into question the eight-cylinder engine. By combining the engine heat with electric motors, it is possible to obtain high-performance 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 in 6.7 seconds and 340 km/h of maximum speed.
