Arriving van electric Citroen, Peugeot and Opel

DELIVERIES that are “CLEAN” – Not only the world of cars is progressively replacing the conventional engines with hybrid or electric. Even the delivery vans in the city are suffering from the same fate. As demonstrated by the PSA Group, has announced the availability on the market of commercial vehicles of medium size Citroën ëJumpy, Peugeot e-Expert and Opel Vivaro-and, but also of the respective versions of the passenger up to 9 seats (called Citroën is-SpaceTourer, Peugeot and-Traveller and the Opel Zafira and-Life), and of those units, with only the driving cab and the central part and the rear of the platform on the view. The van will be on the market by July 2020, with prices yet to be announced, while the versions of passengers will arrive by September.

THREE LENGTHS – These models are “children” of a shared project, which led to the birth of the versions with the engine (already on sale). Available in three lengths, of 461, 496 and 531 cm, have a massive, square body high 190 cm, ideal to maximize the space within: the load volume can reach up to 6,6 m3 and the flow rate amounted to 1,250 kg, 150 kg less than the versions gasoline and diesel. If the forms of the body are almost obliged to consider the need to have the short hood and a large, square cargo volume, the designers had more freedom in the design of the template, which is in fact one of the few elements to differentiate stylistically the Citroën ëJumpy, Peugeot e-Expert and Peugeot Opel Vivaro-and: the Citroën has two chrome strips and highlights the symbol of the Double Chevron, the Peugeot a grid is thicker at the centre with the emblem of the Lion, the Opel has a grid of rounded in the lower part, which highlights the logo of the lightning bolt.

UP TO 320 KM – The Citroën ëJumpy, Peugeot e-Expert and Opel Vivaro-and are available with two batteries of 50 kWh for an autonomy of the declared maximum of up to 220 km, and 75 kWh, which can provide up to 320 km. The engine, mounted at the front 136 and 260 Nm; the maximum speed is limited to 130 km/h.

FULL RANGE – The French group has announced that in the next 18 months will be launched from the electrical versions of its vans: those with more compact dimensions, therefore, the Citroën Berlingo Van, Peugeot Partner and Opel Combo (also in the versions of the carriage of passengers, calls, Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Rifter and Opel Combo Life), and those of large size, the Citroen Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Opel Movano.
