Lamborghini Sián Roadster: a dream for a few

ALREADY SOLD out – Presented in September 2019, the Lamborghini Sián (a term which in the dialect of bologna means lightning) is a hypercar that looks very processed and refined hotel with a hybrid system. Today it is revealed the variant of the Roadster, without a roof, designed to enjoy the massive V12 engine with wind in your hair. A success even before it is submitted, given that the 19 specimens were sorted to the “closed box”, despite the estimated price well above the million euro.

HOMAGE TO the COUNTACH – The bodywork of the Lamborghini Sián Roadster has features sculpted. To catch the eye are the daytime running lights in the shape of a Y, typical of Lamborghini, the huge air intake in the side and the very bad back, where are shown the two discharges raised lights, hexagonal (inspired by the ones that had the Lamborghini Countach of 1974) and the aileron, able to rise and lower itself depending on speed. The Sián Roadster, like the coupé, it is equipped with an innovative material, shape memory that allows you to open and close the ventilation system of the rear area of the car through the heat developed by the exhaust system of the engine.

IMPROVEMENTS TO THE V12 – To push the Lamborghini Sián Roadster is an evolution of the naturally aspirated engine V12 6.5, which adopts the Aventador, SVJ, with intake valves made of titanium and are capable of developing 785 HP at 8,500 rpm. It is paired with an electric motor to 48 Volts, which provides a 34 HP, which is embedded in the exchange and connected directly to the axes (the Sián is 4×4), in order to ensure an immediate response and more performance, in addition, makes the ride smoother in the gear changes, eliminating the “jerking” of the transmission, and gives traction to the wheels in the maneuvers at low speed or in the back. Overall, the hybrid Lamborghini Sián Roadster delivers 839 HP and delivers performance in line with the race car, because it exceeds 350 km/h top speed and takes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

HYBRID WITHOUT the BATTERY – The electric motor is powered by lithium-ion batteries, like most hybrid systems, but by a supercapacitor, is positioned between the passenger compartment and the engine is three times more powerful than a battery of equal weight and three times lighter than an equal power, so as to weigh 34 kg, with the electric motor. The supercapacitor is also regenerates in less time than batteries: according to Lamborghini, it is sufficient braking to bring it back to 100% charge.
