The Brembo now owns 5% of Pirelli

BACK TO the OFFICE – The Brembo, bergamo-based company leader in braking systems, has increased its participation in the share capital of Pirelli, the historical milan-based manufacturer of tyres: after having detected the 2,43% in April 2020, in the past few days has risen to 4.99%. The confirmation has arrived to the presentation of financial statements January-June, the period in which Brembo has recorded net profits amounting to € 20 million, although revenues fell 28% to 951 million euro.

NO SPECULATION – As he had already done in April, the Brembo has confirmed that the transaction is not for speculative purposes, rightly considered the negative performance of the shares of Pirelli: currently, a vale 3,47 euros, a figure which is very far compared to 7,87 euro in January 2018. Behind these operations, according to some rumors, there might be the intention on the part of the Brembo to create an Italian group of electrical components for vehicles of high range.
