Kia Carnival: here is the fourth generation

It’s a little SUV in its inspiration, but maintains the lines, practicality and space to the edge of the segment of minivan, the fourth generation of the Kia Carnival that the Korean manufacturer is preparing to launch in the country, but that soon will propose in all the world.

Depending on the market, the new Carnival offers configurations of seats three or four rows, with space for seven, eight, or even eleven occupants in total. The length of that, which in some markets will be called the Kia Sedona is a 5.15 metres, to a step of 3.09 metres.

In the configuration with seven seats, the Carnival can be equipped with the seat, ‚ÄúRelax Premium” reclines for the occupants of the second row, with a backrest, armrests and leg rest adjustable to provide seats to business class with a single touch thanks to the electric adjustment. The trunk measure 627 litres with the last row in place.

The focus of the connectivity features of the car is the double digital display, high-tech, which connects the new framework tools digital 12.3-inch navigation and infotainment system touch screen.

Very interesting the feature “Rear Passenger View & Talk” where front passengers can control the rear seat occupants with a small camera linked to the infotainment system instead of turn around and speak easily thanks to the system that amplifies the voice through the speakers of the rear seats.

Currently, there are the engines, a petrol V6 MPi, 3.5-liter 272 HP and 332 Nm of torque and the new Diesel engine 2.2-liter “Smartstream” to 202 HP and 440 Nm. Both are paired with the automatic transmission 8-speed.

The Kia Carnival will debut in Korea in the third quarter of 2020 and later will arrive on other markets.
