In October, Porsche will launch a new Model Year of Taycan, which will debut new optional – also on demand – and features new. Among all, stands out the possibility to pay for the refills without having to use neither a paper, nor your smartphone: with the function Plug & Charge, in fact, simply connect the cable of the column to the car to start the supply of energy to the system which will handle everything automatically from the transaction (encrypted with special algorithms and security).
The smart plug. Staying on the subject of charging, the Taycan Model Year 2021 can be equipped with a charger on-board 22 kW (series is expected to 11 kW). For refills quick, however, Porsche has developed a new protection system designed to preserve the battery when it is not required maximum power: if the driver plans to stay long in the area of the column, the system can limit the speed of charging, thereby lengthening the interval of maintenance of the accumulators. When you supply electricity to the house, instead, the intelligent system, prevents the overload of the network, whether you use the conventional socket, with the wallbox supplied by Porsche. Some updates will also involve the performance: by using the Launch Control, the Taycan Turbo S will be able to take from 0 to 200 km/h in 9,6 seconds, two tenths less than the current model. In the fourth of a mile improvement will be a tenth of a second (10,7 against the previous 10,8 seconds).
Optional on demand. In addition to having up-to-date infotainment system with a new Dab radio as standard, the Porsche has enabled the purchase of accessories on demand. The platform FoD (acronym of Functions on Demand) will allow customers to select from the screen of the car optional extras to enable online: thanks to the update over-the-air will be able to customize the vehicle with new features, without dovresi bear in the workshop. At the time of installation you can decide whether to purchase the full function or a monthly subscription. With the arrival of the new Model Year will be available in four FoD, three of which will have to be purchased with a monthly subscription. One of the most interesting is the Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (Pirm): designed to optimize the efficiency of the gear, analyzing the data of the navigation, is proposed (in Germany) with a monthly fee of 10,72 euros or a one-time fee of 398 euros. With 808 euro (or 19,50 euro per month), you can enable theActive Lane Keep Assist that keeps the car in the center of the lane by intervening on the steering, even in traffic. This function includes theInnoDrive, which adapts the driving speed to the road conditions and the limits, and slow down near bends, roundabouts, rights-of-way and stop. The last function, the proposal only as a one-off purchase to 320 euro, is the Power Steering Plus, which makes the steering more direct at higher speeds and lighter in the more relaxed driving.

To list their and also other accessories selectable at the time of the order: among these are the new head-up colour display, on which you can view information on the navigation and infotainment, as well as the various parameters of the car, and the function Smartlift. This last one is provided by choosing the adaptive damping and can be programmed to lift the vehicle automatically in some places, such as roads with bumps or the access ramps to the underground garage.
